The 2015 Grand Vintage by Moët & Chandon is distinguished by its generosity and enveloping character, offering many aromatic layers. Indeed, Benoît Gouez, Cellar Master of the Maison Moët & Chandon, chose to vintage the year 2015, thus marking the 76th vintage in the history of the house. That year, the climate was particularly notable, beginning with a mild and wet winter followed by a hot and dry summer. Nevertheless, the coolness of the end of the summer allowed for optimal maturation, giving rise to juicy, ripe and concentrated grapes, resulting in a spectacular vintage. The 2015 Grand Vintage by Moët & Chandon is a harmonious blend composed of 44% Pinot Noir, 24% Pinot Meunier and 32% Chardonnay, all vinified and aged in vats. This vintage champagne has an intense and luminous color, dotted with fine lively bubbles. On the nose, it reveals a delicate bouquet of white flowers, fresh brioche and fruit paste. On the palate, it is immediately enveloping with a generous and ample structure that coats the palate. The mid-palate reveals floral notes and a subtle menthol touch. The finish, meanwhile, is very elegant, with a slight bitterness evoking almond. This extra brut champagne is perfect as an aperitif or at the start of a meal at a temperature of 9°C.
