The 2018 vintage A l'Aube de la Côte des Bar is a brut nature vintage champagne distinguished by its unique style, offering both complexity and freshness to the palate. Under the direction of Delphine Brulez, the Louise Brison house produces exclusively vintage cuvées, offered for tasting after aging for at least 6 years in their cellars. This 2018 vintage is a balanced blend of 50% Pinot Noir and 50% Chardonnay, from the Noé-Les-Mallets plots in the Aube. This terroir, close to that of Chablis, is distinguished by its clay-limestone rocks which give the champagne a generous and distinguished aromatic signature. Vinified and aged in wood for around 9 months on lees, this cuvée develops remarkable complexity. The 2018 Louise Brison vintage has a golden color with brilliant reflections and fine, regular bubbles. On the nose, this brut nature champagne reveals beautiful notes of citrus fruits, particularly grapefruit, and white fruits, offering a particular freshness and elegance. On the palate, the sensations of the nose continue with tangy notes of lemon and citrus fruits, followed by more gourmet and slightly toasted aromas in the middle of the mouth. To fully appreciate this champagne, it is advisable to open it a quarter of an hour before tasting, or even to decant it a few moments before serving. This vintage can be enjoyed as an aperitif or with seafood or raw vegetables. Serving temperature: 10°C.

THE BRAND

Louise Brison embodies above all a family story, a tradition brilliantly perpetuated over four generations. As early as 1900, Louise Brison laboriously cultivated a few ares of vines at a time when this activity was not always lucrative. Thanks to her tenacity, the following generations were able to perpetuate her legacy, and in 1991, the estate took a new turn with the advent of Francis Brulez. Under his leadership, the production of vintage champagnes aged in oak barrels began, thus breathing new life into the estate. Deeply rooted in this land, Delphine Brulez, an agricultural engineer and oenologist, daughter of Francis, is today perpetuating this tradition by directing the estate towards organic cultivation. The start of the conversion to organic viticulture in 2017 and the first certified organic vintage in 2020 are significant milestones in this evolution. Attached to this terroir, Delphine Brulez is proud to produce champagnes that draw their roots from a soil chosen by her great-grandmother over 100 years ago. Today, her work is a vibrant tribute to this pioneer, transforming an ordinary life into an extraordinary future. In creating Champagnes Louise Brison, she builds a bridge between past and future, aspiring to see this tradition perpetuated through generations to come.
