LARMANDIER-BERNIER Terre de Vertus Premier Cru is a non-dosed vintage champagne from a plot of Chardonnay, vinified separately, under the name of the lieu-dit Les Barillers, located in the middle of the hillside in Vertus. This terroir is distinguished by its unique characteristics: delicate, saline and of great complexity. Thus, the natural balance of this champagne does not require any additional blending. Composed exclusively of Chardonnay, from a single terroir and a single year, it perfectly reflects the singularity of its origin. Bottling takes place at the end of July, and this, without blending with other years, because it is a vintage. In addition, no blending with other terroirs is carried out, thus confirming its plot character. Then, the bottles are carefully lowered into the cool of the cellars. There, the second fermentation and aging on slats take place quietly for at least six more years. One year before marketing, each bottle is disgorged manually. Finally, this champagne is non-dosed, meaning that no sugar is added, in order to preserve its purity until the end. The Terre De Vertus Premier Cru from the Larmandier-Bernier house is a brut nature champagne to serve at the start of a meal. This cuvée can delicately accompany oysters with its purity. It also goes perfectly with truffles. It is a champagne that can be enjoyed now or after 5 to 10 years of storage.
