To create this new edition of La Grande Dame, Veuve Clicquot has teamed up with Italian artist Paola Paronetto, an expert in color. This exclusive collaboration highlights the exceptional expertise of the house. La Grande Dame 2015 is a chromatic symphony reflecting the harmony of the vintage through six unique boxes, each presented in a random color. La Grande Dame 2015 , according to Didier Mariotti, cellar master at Veuve Clicquot, is an exceptional solar year that stands out for its tension and elegance. It embodies the spirit of verticality and precision of the Pinot Noirs from the house's historic Grands Crus. Madame Clicquot was convinced that Pinot Noir, with its vast palette of expression and exceptional potential, was the ideal grape variety to create the best champagne. This love of Pinot Noir led her to acquire ten of the house's twelve emblematic plots, making this grape variety Veuve Clicquot's signature. Pinot Noir brings the structure and strength characteristic of the house style, perfectly embodied in the La Grande Dame cuvée, a tribute to “the great lady of Champagne”: Madame Clicquot. The oenological excellence of La Grande Dame lies in its precise blend. Composed of 90% Pinot Noir, this cuvée is enhanced by 10% Chardonnay from the Grands Crus of Avize and Mesnil-Sur-Oger, located in the Côte des Blancs. La Grande Dame 2015 has a beautiful sparkling golden color. The nose reveals great minerality and pleasant freshness, accompanied by light floral notes of jasmine and acacia, evolving towards fruity aromas of pear and clementine. On the palate, this champagne envelops the palate with a deliciously subtle and silky texture, revealing all the finesse and elegance of this exceptional vintage. Served at 10°C, this champagne is the perfect accompaniment to any meal.
