THE BRAND
The history of the Gosset family begins more than five centuries ago with Jean Gosset (1484-1556), the first official ancestor of the line, who bore the title of “Lord of Aÿ and Mareuil”. In 1584, Pierre Gosset, lord and alderman of Aÿ, laid the foundations of the House by opening a wine trading business. Over the centuries, sixteen generations have succeeded one another, passionately and devotedly perpetuating the family know-how in Aÿ-Champagne. This precious artisanal heritage is faithfully passed down, thus preserving the tradition and excellence of the Maison Gosset. At the end of 1993, the Maison Gosset joined the Renaud-Cointreau family group, a decisive moment that has since allowed the Gosset style to remain intact. This collaboration gave birth to the Gosset Celebris vintage Cuvées, marking a significant step in the rise of Champagne Gosset to the top of the prestigious Maisons. For more than four centuries, Maison Gosset has strived to perfect and transmit its unique know-how in the art of creating Champagnes of incomparable originality.
