THE BRAND
The Champagne House Beaumont des Crayères was founded in 1955, driven by the desire of a group of winegrowers from the village of Mardeuil, near Épernay, to join forces to showcase their vineyard through vintages representative of their terroir and their grape variety. Located at the entrance to the Marne Valley, in the heart of Champagne, this cooperative brings together 240 members and flourishes on a vineyard on hillsides exposed to the northeast, characterized by a chalky subsoil, renowned in particular for its pinot meuniers. From their first joint harvest in 1958, the founders launched the brand "Beaumont des Crayères" to market their champagnes, of which they master each stage, from pressing to disgorging and labeling. The name "Beaumont des Crayères" evokes one of the oldest plots of the vineyard, today covering 86 hectares. For three generations, this winegrowers' house has dedicated 60% of its land to Pinot Meunier, 25% to Chardonnay and 15% to Pinot Noir. The nine vintages of Maison Beaumont des Crayères regularly win awards at international competitions and are praised for their quality by many specialist guides and renowned experts such as the Bettane et Desseauve Wine Guide of France, the Hachette Wine Guide, as well as by renowned sommeliers such as Michael Edwards, Richard Juhlin, Philip Williamson and David Moores.
