The Blanc de Blancs Vintage 2015 from Maison Pol Roger perfectly embodies indulgence, richness and elegance. This blanc de blancs champagne is composed exclusively of Chardonnays from the Grands Crus of the Côte des Blancs, including Oiry, Chouilly, Cramant, Avize, Oger, and Le Mesnil-sur-Oger, harvested during the 2015 harvest. The vinification and aging of this cuvée are done in stainless steel vats to preserve optimal freshness. Malolactic fermentation is carried out and aging continues for 6 years in the cellars of the House, at a depth of 33 meters. Each bottle is stirred by hand according to the traditional method. Dosed brut, this vintage champagne is distinguished by a very pale gold color with green highlights, with a fine and regular bead of bubbles. The nose, expressive and powerful, reveals an aromatic palette mixing lemon zest and pastry notes. After aeration, it releases complex aromas of mocha, cocoa, confectionery, orange zest and fresh butter. On the palate, we discover buttery notes with pastry accents, followed by hazelnut liqueur and toasted nuances.
For its quality, the Blanc de Blancs Vintage 2015 has obtained 4 guide scores: 91/100 Revue du Vin de France, 89/100 Gault & Millau, 1 star Hachette and 97/100 Bettane & Desseauve.
