Champagne Telmont
The story begins in 1911, at the heart of the Champagne revolts, when Henri Lhôpital composed the anthem "Gloire au Champagne", encouraging people to maintain the quality of their vintages at the highest level. A year later, he founded his own Champagne House. In 1937, his son, André Lhôpital, took over the reins of the estate. After being renamed J. de Telmont in 1947, in homage to one of the most beautiful plots, the house moved to Damery in 1968, at the foot of the vineyards, where it is still established. Later, it came under the management of Serge Lhôpital, then, in 1998, of Bertrand and Pascale, his children. Since its beginnings, respect for nature and the environment has been a value fundamental for Maison Telmont. In 2017, part of the plots finally obtained Organic Agriculture certification. In 2020, following a meeting between Rémy Cointreau and Bertrand Lhôpital, the two companies decided to collaborate, which led the family group to become the main shareholder of the House. Attracted by the brand's environmental values and innovative perspective, Famous actor Leonardo DiCaprio joins Maison Telmont as a minority investor.
