Champagne Krug
The House of Krug was founded in 1843 by Joseph Krug, a visionary and unconventional man, driven by an uncompromising philosophy. His ambition was to create the best Champagne possible every year, regardless of the vagaries of the weather. Thanks to his meticulous attention the character of the vineyard, respect for the individuality of each plot and its wine, as well as the creation of a vast library of reserve wines, Joseph Krug has transformed his dream into reality. Following an approach traditional way of making Champagne, Krug has transcended the very notion of vintage to offer, each year, the quintessence of Champagne. He has thus established a House where all Champagnes embody the same level of excellence. Thus, six generations of The Krug family have preserved this heritage while ensuring that the vision and technique of the founder of the House were enriched. Since 1999, the luxury group LVMH has owned the champagne house Krug , integrated into the Moët Hennessy Champagne Services (MHCS) division, alongside Ruinart, Moët and Veuve Clicquot. Manuel Reman has held the position of chairman since 2022, while Olivier Krug assumes the role of general manager. Since 2020, Julie Cavil has assumed the role of cellar master, succeeding Éric Lebel.
